The venue is at the heart of Prague (see https://thedancehouse.eu/venue/ for info and location).

If you are coming for a nearby country then you can consider traveling by train (e.g. 4 hours from Berlin) or bus or by car. The venue is less than 15 minutes walk from the central train station.

Flying (to Václav Havel Airport Prague)

Being one of the most important tourist destination in Europe, Prague has a modern airport (Václav Havel Airport Prague) with great connections to all over Europe and the world. Prague Airport is about 15 km (9 miles) from the city center. It takes approximately 30 minutes (50 minutes in heavy traffic) to reach the center by car and about 40 minutes by public transport (bus + subway). Public transportation is the cheapest method of getting to downtown Prague. It is easy to use, clean, reliable and runs frequently.

You can also go by taxi or order a Bolt!

Transportation within the city

Prague has a well connected public transportation network. You can use the tram / metro to arrive to any point within the city.

Where to buy

Ticket vending machines
Ticket vending machines are installed at all metro stations, and selected surface transit stops. For traveling within Prague, choose a ticket for 30, 40, or 120 CZK. By pressing the button repeatedly, you can buy more tickets at once. If you want to buy a discounted ticket or a ticket for luggage or a dog, press the DISCOUNTED button before making your selection. When you are finished, insert the correct amount of money, take your tickets, and change.

The vending machines accept only coins, not banknotes. However, vending machines in some busy places (e.g., Airport, Main train stations) accept cards.

Newsstands and retailers
Some shops, especially newspaper shops, offer tickets for Prague public transport.

SMS
You can also buy tickets by using your mobile phone and sending a text message to the number 90206 with text:

“DPT31” (for 30 minutes ticket)
“DPT42” (for 90 minutes ticket)
“DPT120” (for 24 hours ticket)
“DPT330” (for 72 hours ticket)

You will usually receive your ticket on your phone within one minute. You must have received your ticket before entering the vehicle or the paid zone on the metro.

Mobile application “PID Lítačka”
The mobile app “PID Lítačka” is available for download on Google Play and Apple Store. It offers all tickets for Prague public transport. You can even search your connection in the app, and the application suggests the most suitable ticket.

You can pay for the ticket using your credit/debit card, Masterpass or Apple Pay. However, before you use the ticket, you need to activate it in the application (it can be done automatically after the purchase or manually later). The validity of the ticket starts two minutes after the validation, so remember to activate the ticket in advance.

Trams
All trams have a ticket machine that accepts contactless credit/debit cards for payment placed in the middle of every tram vehicle. Passenger is obliged to buy the ticket immediately after getting on the tram. The ticket from the ticket machine is valid immediately and no longer needs validation.
