FAUNIA MADRID
A Secret Jungle at the Heart of Madrid

Faunia is an extensive themed and natural space with over 1,200 animals from 152 different species, divided over the recreation of 4 ecosystems and 15 themed areas adapted to each species, with their own habitat, temperature, light and humidity conditions. The park extends over 14 hectares with topography with lakes and ponds. Visitors will be able to enjoy the extreme cold of the Antarctic, represented by the largest Polar Ecosystem in Europe, to the tropical heat of the Amazon jungle represented by the Jungle Ecosystem, as well as the mysterious world of night animals or the elegance of the butterfly kingdom and the majestic woods. The park has several catering areas, a children’s playground and a visit exhibiting reproductions de different dinosaurs. Faunia is a variation of the Latin feminine name Fauna. In ancient Roman religion, Fauna was a goddess of the fertility of the woodlands. The name also has ties to the popular saying “flora and fauna,” which encourages baby to live surrounded by nature and animals. Every attendee of Mambo y Nada Mas will receive a Faunia ticket to visit Faunia – Inside, you’ll have the chance to get close-up looks at creatures including Komodo dragons, penguins, sea lions and more. You’ll also encounter themed areas focused on continents such as Africa and Australia as well as climates including polar, jungle and temperate zones.
